Breathe Owl Breathe - Trevor Hobbs

La Flèche d'or, Paris, June 25th 2011

& now this awesome story! It was Trevor's birthday on the day of the gig, and I gave him the card to write his story after their performance, and he came back with this detailed drawing not too long later.
I just need to add again how ace all three of the band were, and fingers crossed they'll make it over to the UK some day soon! Utterly amazing live band too.

and here's the setlist! Mostly. They played Run Off as the second song (woo!), so I'm not sure what the original second song/drawing is meant to be though. I don't think they played Boat (which I assume the boat drawing is there for), but I do remember them playing Parrots In The Tropical Trees, but I was having too much fun to really remember.

More cool drawing'age! Micah popped over to see me again whilst the band before them were playing, and said that he was still writing the story and was also writing/drawing a setlist on the other side too. I then asked whether they would be playing (or could play) Run Off, as it was my first song of theirs that I loved, and perhaps a contender for my favourite song. He said that they hadn't played it in quite a while, and he would have to remember how it went - and then he popped off to go get Trevor and his guitar, and disappeared elsewhere, presumably to practise the song!

Breathe Owl Breathe - Andréa Moreno-Beals

I spoke to the band before they played, and asked for stories, and Andréa and Micah both took a card each, to come back with me later. This picture/story is just stunning!

Breathe Owl Breathe announced a few random dates in Ireland and Europe a few weeks ago, but none in the UK. Seeing as I never thought they'd come over this way at all, I decided to travel from London to Paris just to see them (via coach - which was nice and cheap, but so so long!). It was definitely worth it, and they were super lovely folk!
